Today, the roles have reversed. I bring home new discoveries, and he tries everything I put in front of him. But the connection? Exactly the same.
I was lucky to grow up in a supportive middle-income family. My parents worked hard so I could study in Australia — a sacrifice I never took lightly. After graduating and working there a few years, I made a decision that surprised a lot of people: I moved to China for three years.

When I returned to Malaysia, I saw the same problem — just bigger. Options for quality Pu'erh were limited. Many lacked clear origins — just a low price to attract buyers, while the good stuff was either overpriced or dressed up in marketing that told you nothing real.
