I prepared it in a smaller, 90ml gaivan, using 4 grams of tea. Hot leaves have a vegetable smell of a boiled spinach. Infusion is light green, transparent. It stands up to 8 infusions very well. Hot liquid has some astringency, but it turns into milky and slightly nutty taste as it cools down. Very good green tea.

I've tried this tea gongfu style and granpa style, and in both ways I've found this to be an extremely loveable tea. It's quite strong up to the third infusion, but after that it becomes more sweet and can be enjoyed for another two/three infusions, after which it fades.

I received this as a free sample when I ordered my staple green tea, "Chun Ya Spring Bud". This one is so very similar to Chun Ya Spring Bud with its deep, rich earthy notes that I tend to favor. I am very happy with it and will be adding it to my order in the future. I appreciate that TeaVivre allows us to try new teas by offering free samples. I received this tea as a sample last year but didn’t try it until THIS spring. It was my first green after a long cold winter and wow I was floored. Just delicious. It re-sparked my love for greens that had gone dormant during the dark months when I craved more reds and puerhs. I was sad to see it was sold out, but with this year’s spring harvest it’s back in stock and back in my cup!
