Steady Energy, No Crashes With Our Premium Jasmine Dragon Pearls Green Tea

I'm new to premium Chinese and Taiwanese teas. Most of my tea experience comes from Japanese tea and the occasional foray into grocery store teas. As such, this came with my sample set and it was the first one I wanted to try, as I had already had a jasmine tea from the aforementioned grocery store and I wanted to compare. I can safely say, hands down, this tea is vastly superior. The dry leaf gave off a strong jasmine floral aroma, but there was also a mild lilac scent and a subtle summer fruit aroma underneath. I mostly got strawberries and maybe a hint of honeydew melon. The wet leaf maintained these aromatics but added a bit of a fresh, slightly grassy scent. Flavor-wise, this tea blew the grocery store jasmine out of the water. That grocery store one was enjoyable, but had a hint of bitterness and astringency. Meanwhile, this tea is the direct opposite. There's absolutely no bitterness whatsoever, it's a very smooth and soothing feel in the mouth. The flavor is quite light, but the aromatics make it taste very sweet, with a sweeter finish and a pleasantly long-lasting juiciness. The jasmine aroma also lingers extremely long, especially if you breathe through your nose. Later infusions added a very subtle rocky minerality, but nothing that overwhelms the flavor. If anything, it helps balance the flavors even better. Also, the smell of the empty cup somehow got stronger with more infusions, making for a thoroughly pleasant experience all around! All-in-all, if you enjoy jasmine tea, this is a must. There's obviously a reason this tea won awards, it's fantastic. Just be sure to brew it in a gaiwan or teapot that has a lot of room so that the pearls can fully open and give off their flavor. What an awesome start to my tea experiences. I look forward to all the rest of the samples I received!

Excellent jasmine green tea. The best of the jasmine teas that we have tried so far. Very floral and great flavor. Leaves are very well presented and cleanly rolled into the pearls. Note: our photo of the brewed leaves was from trying it brewed in limited space (within a disposable, fill-yourself tea pouch), thus the leaves did not have the full space to properly unfurl. Nonetheless, the tea still brewed up great. I highly recommend this one in particular if you are looking for a very good jasmine tea.
